I’m stuck at your hello
I don’t care much for the storm
That follows on from this
I’ll stay outside the danger zone
And I won’t get involved this time
It’s what I want
The price is high and I don’t like
The drama after all
‘Cause when it’s just like this
It’s easier to dream
Though dreams are bittersweet
They’re real enough to me
I don’t need to feel this
I won’t play my role
No, I’m staying on my own
What if I don’t want to know, anymore than I know right now?
What if I don’t want to know anymore at all?
What if I don’t want to go on
What if I’m done trying to figure you out?
What if I don’t want to know anymore at all?
And I’m in two minds
I find your eyes a source a light
That ignite darker times
But when I read between the lines
It’s hard to breathe
And I want make things right
But there’s no time to re-write
Or define what we could be
I’m leaving you behind
Where things are just like this
Our hearts can go be free
Not stuck or in between
That cold and deadened dream
I don’t need to feel this
I won’t play my role
No, I’m staying on my own
What if I don’t want to know anymore than I know right now?
What if I don’t want to know anymore at all?
What if I don’t want to go on
What if I’m done trying to figure you out?
What if I don’t want to know anymore at all?
Though I knew what to do from the start
I wouldn’t choose
To live with or without you
But the distance it tore us apart
‘Til we broke in two
You know it’s the truth, stop living in a lie

To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had.

At last and after a too long time on my wishlist this album has finally been bought ;-)
Clearly recommended to friends of classic Pink Floyd (rather think Wish You Were Here than The Wall or in other words rather think Gilmour/Wright than Waters). Carsten Pieper
